A beautiful natural wood product. These wine barrel heads are perfect for making benches, tables, chairs, and anything else the mind can imagine! Years of wine have aged the inside of the head an amazing deep purple.

Offered in two styles - plain or with cooperage markings (manufacturer's stamps). Cooperage marks vary based on current inventory. Common cooperages include World Cooperage, Seguin Moreau, Sylvain.

Normally when a barrel head is installed into a barrel it is held together by the pressure from the hoops. When removed, the barrel head is only loosely held together by pegs or tongue and groove joints.

For this item, we include a metal backing plate that we screw to the bottom of the head to ensure structural integrity.
